Refund Policy

This policy covers paid Billbook subscriptions purchased through Paddle. Billbook is operated by VAWIDEA Inc. To request a refund, email i@billbook.me.

1. 14-Day No-Questions-Asked Refund

If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, we will issue a full refund, no reason required.

This applies to the initial subscription only; upgrades, seat add-ons, and renewals are not covered by the 14-day clause.

2. EU / EEA / UK Consumers

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under local consumer law (e.g. the EU Consumer Rights Directive).

Note: if you explicitly requested immediate access to the service during the withdrawal period and have already used a portion, we may deduct a pro-rata amount for usage.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically. If you do not want to renew, cancel before the renewal date via the Paddle customer portal (link in your billing emails) or from the Billing panel inside the app.

If you are charged for a renewal and have not used the new cycle, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will review a refund in good faith.

4. Annual Plans

Annual plans are not refundable after the 14-day window, except at our discretion for material technical failures. Email us with details and we will review.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available when:

  • Your account was terminated for breach of the Terms of Service
  • The refund window above has passed
  • Most of the billing cycle has been used (e.g. more than 3 months on an annual plan, more than 20 days on a monthly plan)
  • Dissatisfaction is based on non-use (rather than a product defect) and the 14-day window has passed

6. How to Request a Refund

Email i@billbook.me with:

  • The email address on the subscription
  • Your Paddle order ID (in the payment confirmation email)
  • A brief reason (optional, but helps us improve)

7. Processing Time

We respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method and typically arrive in 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

8. Taxes

If your payment included VAT / GST / sales tax, the refund includes the corresponding tax. Paddle, as the merchant of record, handles the tax adjustment.

9. Disputes & Escalation

If you disagree with a refund decision, please contact us first to try to resolve it. You retain your statutory rights before local consumer-protection authorities and your card issuer (chargeback).

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes apply to new subscriptions from the publication date onwards; existing subscriptions remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
