Last updated: April 15, 2026
Welcome to Billbook. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and VAWIDEA Inc. ("we", "us"). By registering for or using Billbook, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Billbook is a web-based multi-user bookkeeping application for small businesses, providing monthly income/expense tracking, CSV import/export, team collaboration and related features.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with reasonable prior notice where feasible.
2. Account & Security
You must provide a valid email to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and controlling access to your account.
If you suspect any unauthorised use of your account, notify us immediately at i@billbook.me.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, to use the service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload or distribute content that is illegal, malicious, infringing, or fraudulent
- Attempt unauthorised access to, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- Scrape data at scale or circumvent rate limits
- Resell, sublicense, or use the service in violation of these Terms
4. Paid Plans & Billing
Pricing, billing cycles, and features for paid plans are as displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by Paddle. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
5. Your Data
You own and retain rights to all bookkeeping data you upload to Billbook. We process your data only to provide the service; see our Privacy Policy for details.
You can export a copy of your data as CSV at any time from within the app.
6. Service Availability
We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or fit for your specific purposes.
Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billbook and VAWIDEA Inc. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total aggregate liability to you (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing i@billbook.me.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with reasonable notice where appropriate.
Post-termination data handling follows the retention policy in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before taking effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for disputes, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
